About

Miranda is a writer, presenter, voice over artist and multi-skilled Journalist.

And now, because there’s only so much you can write about yourself in the third person…

Completing an MA in broadcast journalism, at the University of Westminster has given me the skills I need to kick start my career. Since then I’ve had the great pleasure of working alongside some truly wonderful people at some of the biggest companies in the Industry including Smooth Fm and Heart Fm.

Following my Masters in Broadcast journalism, I kicked off my career at LGR 103.3fm as a radio presenter, VO artist, digital editor and social media editor.

Over the last 4 years, I have worked as part of a small team whose main aim was to bring a younger and fresher image to the radio station. I have helped host a number of events, many of which involved booking famous artists from around the world to perform at LGR events. I also took an active role in re-branding the station, doing so by using the website and social media as the main marketing tool and updating the output of the station to reflect our new image.

My other love is writing. I recently spent 11 months writing online showbiz, entertainment, comedy, humour and lifestyle features for Xclusivetouch. Most of them did exceptionally well and many went viral. After leaving Xclusivetouch, I then accepted a long-distance part time contributor role for Elite Daily. Elite Daily is the premier online news platform for and by millennials based in New York.

I love writing and editing and coming up with interesting and quirky article ideas because let’s face it, who wouldn’t love to get paid for putting all their hilarious ideas down on paper?

In my free time I also do freelance social media management for various companies. I enjoy helping them build their audience and communicate their brand with the world.

I don’t believe there is a job too difficult or a challenge too big. I’m a creative person who was born to entertain. I’ve always believed that anyone can achieve anything as long as you’re not afraid to show your personality and work hard.

You spend a third of your life at work, so it seems only right to choose a career that makes me want to get up out of bed in the morning. Working in the media industry alongside some of the wittiest and sharpest people in the field… well I think that’s enough to part me and my snooze button once and for all.
